Looks great, did you get from Hurst by any chance? Have noticed a few dealers just giving cars the quickest of prep before punting on, looking cheapest and quickest turn around. Most folks wouldn't notice the difference.

No, JKC as we can’t go to the dealers at the mo, the car was delivered so it needed a good clean anyway!

Gotya, hadn't thought about that! We'd got a car for dad last year and thought the prep could have been better, we saw it literally as soon as it came in, my impression was that the previous owner had got it washed and tyre slicked before it was traded in. When we collected it a few days later it was exactly the same. In saying that he got a great deal on it, cheapest one out there and even cheap compared to prices in England.
Mate looked at a few cars at different dealers too (GTi's and GTD) a while back and wasn't impressed with shape they were in.

First rub down since before xmas 🙈
I really don't know how you guys can get 2/3 cars done in a day.

To be fair the lack of regular washing made this more of a pain with iron deposits and tar everywhere.
Smart car can wait for another day lol.

Wife’s little focus got a wipe down today.
In serious need of a polish etc very swirly etc (only bought it few weeks back as her x1s timing chain tensioner went for 2nd time in 18months)
But lick of auto finesse triple & then Anachem Hybrid gave it a decent 6ft shine

love a clean red car

Looks great Dave. What engine is it? A friend of mine is looking at a 1.0 Ecoboost but I don’t know if it might be too small for the size of car.

its just a 2016 1.6 tdci zetec edition. But it’s honestly getting 60mpg on the commute daily and honesty enough torque in 5th/6th to float about in. I’ve been genuinely impressed by its handling too.

My parents had 2 of the previous generation titanium x ecoboost I think it was the 125ish bhp one. Only drove it a few times but it seems dead on as a normal car overtook ok. Never tried the traffic light gp with it though.

I’d tend to agree. Def think the gearing is designed to compliment mid range torque and over takes rather than 1st gear launch lol. Doesn’t have much initial pull off the line but 2/3rd gear mid range is punchy enough

Got the stink blew off both the estates - have to say that that purity X is really some stuff... Haven't waxed nor used detail spray in probably 4 months, whilst the leaf blower makes short work of drying them with its hydrophobic properties
