SORN and MoT

Today I MoT 'ed a car which I'm now thinking of not renewing the tax and insurance when they're up later this month. It will be put in the garage and SORNed. It only did about 300 miles in the last year.

Should I decide in six months time to tax and insure again to put it back on the road, does it need MOTed again, or is the MOT still valid until next year?

Any thoughts welcome.

It will still be MOT'd. No need to retest.

MOT cert is valid for 12 months pretty much regardless in this instance.

Thanks everyone! I think I will be going the way of the SORN. If a third car is needed on a rare occasion, I will just hire something; definitely better value than having £600 annual spend on a non used car.
