Stunning golf.

The ‘ IUI‘ plate is 1997 Derry plate.
I have a few ‘IUI’ plates..

If you ever consider selling yours please let me know, I have one close to #32 on retention

Cheers for that,
I have no intention of selling it at the moment but I’ll keep you in mind if I do.

This is very nicely built I love all the different looks you have had. How ever the current look is bang on the money the flat face speedline`s are a really nice touch ive been wondering how long it would take before we would see a few sets over here.

Welcome on board

Cheers, it definitely hasn’t been an overnight thing lots of trial and error.
I was look for speedlines for close to a year and a half for the right spec & money, they have been accepted very well to my surprise. I’ll be doing a post in more detail about them soon.

Next up I got a set of RS6 6 Pot Brembo brakes paired with a 390mm wavy disc.

Currently painted red with a Lamborghini logo.
Looking to refurb them shortly and change things up.

I left the car up to Blackline Performance to get them fitted, I was hesitant about the fitment along with the Rotiform so I left a 15mm spacer with them.
Once they were fitted the spacer was needed just to marginally clear the callipers.
with the added 15mm I was mashing the wide wings so the next step was to apply full camber to the front shocks.
Slight rubbing but it worked until I got the speedlines sorted.

hard to believe that's static. I absolutely love it!

Ive had a few arguments about it not being on bags 😂

I don’t have any friends 🤷🏻‍♂️

Love the seats, and exhausts look class. 400BHP is a nice power level for these too.

Hate the height, think it looks broken, but if everyone was the same we'd be a boring lot!

The power could be pushed but it’s useless at this height to be honest, was totally going for the broken look. 😂

I’ll see if I can get a video of the exhaust up soon.

Speedlines-

Eventually found a set of speedlines in the correct fitment for running a static setup.
Anyone that knows these wheels will know how rare the 5x112 8.5j et 33 fitment is.

Once they arrived I got to test fitting them, the front was perfect but with the rear it was clearing the arch by a hair. Was a bit too tight for my liking so when I was getting the tyres put on I had the rear camber adjusted to full to try and let me away with the fitment.

I got turned down by a few places for lathing the face of the wheels but with a bit of persistence I eventually got a company to do it.

Once I got the faces flattened they went off to the powercoaters for a satin silver on the face.
Wile that was happening I took on the task of polishing the lips from a pitted mess to mirror.

I had no previous experience with polishing metal so I just went with 280 grit all the way up to 2500 finishing with two polishing compounds with a DA.
Some full metal valves were added then the tyres were forced on.

Wile I was completing the refurb I purchased the Brembos so I had no idea if they would fit or not, you can see from the pictures below how lucky I got.

Near perfect for me, maybe up 5mm at the back, if even.
What offset are the Speedlines?

They look great on - i just think if it was 30mm higher at the back and to tyre depth at the front it would look 100% better! Make better use of the power and handling

Would love to see how that sits with the arch level with the top of the tyre as I’m not a fan of the tucked look but still looks class

Cheers boys, with these coilovers just installed they already drop the car 50mm from stock height. My car at the moment is pretty close to full height on them.

Update on the car,
I added rear brake discs from an RS7 to match the front.
The kit comes with a bracket to space out the standard calliper to accommodate the bigger discs at 356mm.
I gave them a sand and a coat of paint before they were fitted.
