8th of March is happening.
I'm on, cant believe how quiet the boat is this morning! I'm in my family wagon, purely a day trip for me and the missus.Anyone on this morning, nothing jumping out at me bar an Aston, most of it seems to be family wagons.
seen the Golf to my right in Cairnryan homeward bound. I was the sado taking the pic of the Lada. My Dsd had one identical to it when I was around 9, steering wheel was on the right side though lolI’m over at the minute. Not looking forward to this boat home tonight. I’m in the Blue Golf GTD and am with a Red F56 MINI Cooper S
what you driving? Will keep my eye out, @NI_Volvo_Nut i was pulled in as I checked your post as I looked up you drove past. Think you were in the lane beside me on the way home there.
Yes, lovely colour and seems to be well looked after, glad I didnt bring the Volvo on this sailing, my nails would be down to stumps worrying about it on the car deck lol@NI_Volvo_Nut I was nearly for bringing the S80 today but decided the golf would be more fun. The V70R that was with the lada is beautiful too!
Well worth the trip, but these are some of the most depressing towns you will ever encounter. Only got bad weather for an hour or two on the return journey to ferry. Apart from that it was dry and even sunny.
Anyone wishing to do this in future; the road from the ferry to Ayr is fantastic but completely ruined by average speed cameras. I understand why they’re there but your mind is on nothing but your speedo all the time. Very difficult to enjoy. Had to set on cruise and just eat up the miles. Ayr to Dumfries, some lovely roads but a lot of speed camera areas. Not loads of petrol stations so do fill up if you have a car as thirsty as mine. Dumfries to Cairnryan... this made it all worth it. Going through Galloway Forest Park is a MUST. 16-20 miles of incredible roads. We passed 3 cars that whole time, mad! Quick bite in Stranraer at the end before ferry. Recommend this as the ferry food is average at best. Whole day including fuel and some food £125.
