Strange reg

Hi folks, wondering if any of you know where the reg of my Honda 250 could be from? CUC 699V, never seen one like it! Thanks

I could be wrong, but it looks to be an older Suffix registration which has a format of three letters, a number which can be 1, 2 or 3 digits in length, and finally a single year identifying letter. Is the bike around 1979?

Going of the strange reg theme, I saw a plate yesterday that was 3 numbers y 3 numbers ie 123 Y 123.

There is a diplomatic embassy in comber and the car outside has a similar reg, 3 numbers x 3 numbers.
