Stuck caliper piston

Hello. I’m attempting my first (and possible last) refurb of some spare calipers on my Subaru Legacy. They are twin pots and using a borrowed compress I managed to remove one piston on each caliper - did all the wood trick but only one shifting. Now that they’ve been removed obviously the compressor is fairly useless - one seal blew.

So any tips or tricks for removing them. They are off the car.

Use a G-clamp or similar to hold the removed piston in and crank up the pressure.. (y)

The brake line on the car will give you way more pressure than an airline.

If the piston is out slightly then press it back in with a c clamp or even a vice if you can get at it. That might break any corrosion seal and then try the airline again. With a bit of wood in the caliper to stop it exploding out if it frees itself.

Brilliant folks - thanks to all. These were a spare set I’d picked up with the intention of a quick refurb then swap as originals were sticking. First go at it, so plenty to learn/learnt. Appreciated.
