How loud are the "pops and bangs" on yours ? Pete mapped in a wee taster while I wait for my Ecutek , used a full tank in no time playing about with it !

Can't wait for the full works .

sounds a fair bit louder inside the car than it was but no idea what its like outside, need to get the gopro set up again

glad your enjoying the new bits, the ECUTek is really a decent job on the hatches - it's a pity they haven't brought the same level of customisation to the older cars. Though I do have to say whatever OMA did to yours on the handling front the turn in force/grip is immensly unreal - really makes me want to throw some upgrades at the hawk!

@CharlySkunkWeed - don't forget @Gambit 's car has a sports cat and the mighty mighty exhaust/center section on it so I'd be expecting his to be a little more distinct than yours on the popping and banging front!

*edit* also yes, much launch control videos required  go go gopro!

Still waiting on new wishbone bushes arriving from the states (n) in meantime replaced chrome side badges with later 2012 onwards brushed aluminium style badges. Pain in hole picking off the old foam adhesive but got there in the end

Wouldn't mind a bigger turbo also but that ain't gonna happen till after Vegas in May and then thought about changing it there few weeks back for a golf R but think I'll hold on to it for another 6mths at least so will see what happens

so went away to Vegas for 5 days and left the car with a mate to stick a new turbo in it for me. Basically its Scoobyclinic Hybrid - which is a TD05-20g housings but with a Garret GT3071R core.

Had bought it a few months back knowing the core might need a refurb but turned out it was just a easy to buy a new core...then its new! housings where all in perfect condition.

Only other issue was we need to cut/weld the compressor housing as the turbo was originally for a cable throttle car.

all said and done, its a great job....wouldnt even know its in there (y) now just to get it mapped by @bludgod

not too sure, my target was a solid 400bhp/400lbft car - so i reckon this should achieve it easy enough (y) - still needs to be driveable with it being a daily driver but with 3 switchable maps on it should be able to get a map for all occasions!

How'd the mapping go? (I've missed this thread for a few months obv lol)

Yep going well but like anything...a few other bits required to help get the most out of it...one being the front mount & next up need an adjustable fuel pressure reg or injectors whichever comes handiest! And then that should be it done....target was a solid 400/400 car so should be a bit over that

quite pleased the way the FMIC is discreet looking that you wouldnt know it was really there unless you knew what you where looking at

initial logging found it to me far more efficient airflow than the top mount - hitting 1.7bar in 5th  - been wound back until can get a bit more time mapping.... @bludgod get the finger out!
