I don't know if this even qualifies for this section of the forum, but thought I'd post anyway!
I wanted to start tinkering with something handy as I'm a novice tinkerer.. I lost out on a Honda Compomoto at auction. I've had this little Scooter for over 20 years and thought this would make a great little project instead.
When I was a kid I wanted this yellow Scooter so badly. They were sold out of yellow, so my mum bought me a red one that I loved, it was my baby. It was stolen from my shed overnight after having it for a few months, never to be seen again. As a kid I was heartbroken that my pride and joy was gone. We didn't have a lot of money but I never went without. So my mum and granda clubbed a few quid together and appeared home with this one day... and it was yellow .. .. It was also stolen at one point, but the brakes went on it and the back wheel was locked up. So the thrives ditched it nearby where a neighbour took it in for me, knowing it was my little scooter.
It was bought from Abbey Caravans in the early 2000s. Recently I had been speaking to a member of staff there and I happened to mention about my Scooter, to which they told me a guy there still had loads of parts for them! So I done a quick walk around and without knowing what all I really needed, I called in and lifted a box full of lots of random parts.
Plans are to get it running, clean it up, fit new tyres, powder coat the frame and recover the seat.
Here she is my mighty powerful, 1.7hp, 33cc, Tami Comodo, big wheel, mini scooter in her current condition.
