I bought a bottle of autoglym intense tar remover yesterday and then started on my car. I got most of the stuff of but the thing is when is got colder later that nite and the due set on the car i could see all of the bits that i had gone over becasue the water didnt sit on it.

What actually gets rid of the tar remover itself, a good polish or buff?

Thanks

a good tar remover will take the tar of

but the tar remover also takes of your layers of polish and leaves a oils finish to it

just need a good clean and polish now!

try using a clay bar aswell - gets alot of tar off plus a lot of other impurities like tree sap, air pollution and tough stains like burnt on bugs etc...

you will surprised how much shiite will come off your car if you think its clean lol

What is a clay bar and where do you get them from.

The tar remover doesnt do the paint work any harm if you dont wash it off does it?

you should wash the car after tarring

clay bar can be got from www.polishedbliss.com

or go down to halfords and get the megs clay bar - cost's £14.95 i think

all you do is spray the liquid onto the area and litterally rub the car with the clay bar

wash - with fairy liquid (gets all impurities off)
then clay
then polish
seal
then wax

after that just wash with a normal car/wax shampoo then just wax the car normally after

or you could go down the line of buffing the car - you would do this inbetween claying and polishing
