Sloaner why did you sell the 968? What was it like?
Hi Woodcutter - i had it for 4 years - so time for change. I loved the low seating positing and the torque. not overly fast, but good for a bit of late braking. Porsches can look underpowered on paper, but the chassis and brakes make up for what might seem low bhp. I had an e36 m3 while i had the 968 and the m3 seemed more rapid, but the porsche was more controllable power if you know what i mean.
The downside is the 4cyl engine - hence, lack of sound effects. plus side - cheap motoring - classic insurance. parts aren't dear either. zero depreciation :grinning:

The 964 is awesome by the way. Some Porsches can look a bit bland, others like the GT3 etc look very purposeful. The 964 definitely falls into that camp.

Its the "all things Porsche" thread

not the "epic porsche thread"

Sorry not a fan of the 924/928/968, etc, however they are a Porsche none the less and one I would be happy to own, but they dont scream "beauty" to me

I know but I try to to put them out of my already messed up head each and every day and you had to go and create a thread about them - dam you!
I know sorry, just so so so busy at the moment, dont worry I'll be there.

Burns, buy a 997 and call down.

Maybe you will listen to me now for your next purchase 8-|

Unfortunately a 997 is out of the question if I want to lose the finance.

This thread is not helping.

This thread is inevitably going to cost some members dearly, either financially or personally, or both!
