There's been a lot of chat recently about Porsches, so I thought I'd start a new thread to cover all models, queries, favourite Pork/photos etc.

So to kick it all off, here are the first official pics of the all new 911:

Even Ferdinand would be turning in his grave with the bumming of your first post alone.

Hmmm I like the new 911 overall but not sure about that front bumper!

Porsche are probably my favourite car maker.

everything they turn their hand to is brilliant.

GT3 RS 4.0 is just incredible. how they plan to top that is beyond me

Ok, just to go down the road of something totally not 911 ................................................... the Porsche 928.

We've had one of these - an S4 - in the family for many years, though it will be up for sale soon. The 928 was actually developed as replacement for the popular 911 (the 911 design has sometimes been described as inherently flawed, with the engine slung far the back of the car leading to quirky handling in earlier models and a 'pendulum' effect at times when there was loss of traction) ................ Porsche decided to go with a more conventional front-engined/RWD setup in an entirely new chassis. However Porsche underestimated the popularity of the 911 and although the 928 got a lot of acclaim and awards, including European Car Of the Year, it never made it as far as becoming the flagship vehicle for the company. It became known more as a quick GT car rather than an out and out sports car like the 911.

The 928 went through many variations, originally starting out in 1978 as the 928 Series 1 with a 4.5 V8 (240bhp) .............................. and in it's last incarnation in 1995 as the 928 GTS with a 5.4 V8 (350bhp). Pics below show the major cosmetic differences between the first and last versions of the car, 17 years apart.

Have to admit, for my own personal taste, everything after the RSR above was going downhill.

However, before it, was pure epicness..........

The 356 is probably one of the coolest cars ever made, but the price of a genuine one would make your eyes water.

Gaz - get some pics of the family 928 up, cool cars...

The 968 is also a good looking car, but I have never been in one.

It also wouldn't be right to have a Porsche thread without some good pics of what many class as the best of the recent iterations of 911, the 993. My personal favourite by far.

Love those 19" Carrera wheels on the 911 Rocko posted.

It won't be long until we see £20k C2 997's.
