Well lads/ladies

I see a few of us now own one. Thought I’d put a thread up so we can all share some tips and tricks lol

I’ve just bought myself an 06 RR Vouge. Absolutely no need for it as my 3 series is running really well. But I’m an idiot and make questionable life choices.

where is best on these waters to get parts for it and who would the best mechanics be?

I’ll get a members thread up soon when I get some decent pictures

In regards to parts, dealers aren't as expensive to buy from as many people think, granted maybe not on every part but worth a check.

Hursts Land Rover are the most extortionate dealership I have ever bought parts from, and that was mostly just engine sensors, gaskets and oil feed pipes for turbos. I dread to price suspension or brake parts, or even the likes of body trims and mechanisms from them.

I’ve had a lot of love for the L322’s for 15+ years from I first sat my arse in 1. For the price of them now, there’s not another vehicle I’d have about me to be honest.

Where is good for parts?

first issues I’ve got to fix lol. My parking sensors don’t work and either does my wind screen washer. Anyone encountered those issues?

When we had our Discovery I always found TP Topping the best for parts, they would usually offer next day Delivery FOC on most items. Hursts never could match them.

TP Toppings shut down this year unfortunately!

BLRC (Saintfield) would probably be the only other for parts.

Trillick Autopart Centre seem to specialise in Range Rover and Land Rover parts, have never used them myself but they aren't too far away from me

They’re only a few miles away from me. I’d sooner drive to Trillick than use them or Hursts.

To be fair, it’s easier just to buy online and get stuff sent to the door if it’s vehicle specific parts you need as most local places need to order stuff in for next day or a few days away anyway, so Ebay, rimmerbros.com, local auto factors etc are always a better option than any of the local “specialists”.

I have no clue about Land Rovers but seeing as they used a ton of BMW bits they might use the headlamp wash system from BMW so this could be the cause. If it does use a BMW headlamp wash there will be a filter in the washer bottle which gets clogged full of ***** and blocks the water getting to the pump.

BLRC services the wife’s sport and can’t fault them. If you take any advice as a LR/RR owner stay away from Donnelly’s.

Does that era range rover share parts with bmw? My e46 parking sensors didnt work and i was able to hear the one that wasnt working fairly clearly. Got a cheapo sensor off ebay for about a tenner and it sorted it

We’ve two 2.7 Disco 3’s in work for hauling cars about and delivering, I love driving them. I’ve a serious itch for my own, I’d love a TDV8 RR.

@Woodcutter supplies all our parts and they’ve all been spot on. Jamisons Land Rover specialists in Dervock have a good name, also never an empty yard.

I wanted one until a relative was quoted something like £2800 plus labour for a "tight spot? On the steering rack.

2010 range rover sport.

If you have a supply local to you a V8 on gas is 100% the way forward. So much less to worry about going wrong, sounds great and it burns a lot cleaner to ease your inner Greta.

@JamieG95 is the 2.7 Disco 3 not horrendously slow? I love the look of them but not sure I could cope with the slowness / but I’m just looking at figures. Never driven one.

They’re not horrendous, but certainly not fast by any means. I usually have a trailer behind though! The 3.0 SDV6 are much better, unsure about reliability though. Seen/heard a few horror stories!

To many cars
My 03 HSE just literally threw up abs. Traction and amber handbrake light
Suspension fault and found some water in the spare wheel well
