Very cool, and nice spec too - jealous of the leather and air con is ultra rare!
It’s got ABS too, so appears that it had every option fitted that was available! That your one at Dubshed?

I always like the valver in the ZX but I’m not sure on the bodykit when I see it in the flesh. Having said that, it’s a smart motor and I’d like to add it to my collection!
I’d say ABS parts wouldn’t be handy come by for them either.

This is still rumbling away, Covid had put a bit of a halt to it, no shows, nowhere to go and honestly, no enthusiasm for it.
I discovered a small hole in the inner wing just before Xmas, common spot just under the power steering bottle. Easy sorted by a good friend of mine, interior stripped and cleaned, and new Goodyear 185/60 14s put onto the original wheels. Also discovered it has 16v shocks as its an ABS and AC car. Its absolutely lovely underneath, think I'll clean the black wax off, touch up any bits that need done and clear wax it.
Goung forward, my plan is to get it insured, tested, and hopefully DVLA won't **** about too much putting it back onto its original plate.

When I put the golf back on its original plate I enclosed a letter with it to dvla to re-register requesting it back as I'd prev checked was it available, mentioned that it was etched in all windows etc and would just be a nice touch on the car bla bla love you loads dvla etc

And they done it

Thats my plan too, windows all etched, original handbook and service history all with the english M reg.
Silver wheels are a big improvement over the black multispokes.
They were really only on to keep it mobile. Thinking of going for a colour change on them

I saw that when I read back in the thread. My memory was of them being on for longer.

They were! Old tyres were so fuxked they wouldn't even stay up. Its shameful how long its been lying up. After the Anni sold, I'd been turning my head at stuff I'd had and would like to own again, but that would mean less time to spend on this.
I think I've settled myself to sort this and maybe enjoy it.

Been actually doing things with this now. Original plate back on, drivers mirror took a big thump on the way back from MOT, actually thought the guy was taking the whole side out. So replacement ordered from Lithuania of all places, easy changed over.
Washer jets didn't - full of 28 years worth of *****, so new washers and tubing back to the tank.
Cibie covers 3d printed, didn't bother smoothing or painting them, just the raised letters. The light bleeds through which I quite like.
I've a feeling its going to need a rad soon, hoping to put if off until winter when I'll sort the bay.
I'm hoping to do a few shows and some cars and coffee meets, its far from good but thats ok, at least I don't feel bad using it.

That wee indent on the bonnet for the wiper is a lovely design touch i hadnt noticed before! 👌

And there must be warehouses in Lithuania and the other eastern block countries rammed with old 90s car parts, all the hard to get Audi 80 parts seem to live there too! :joy:

Exhaust sorted from Poland, decent quality, new centre section too from a Xsara Picasso. No real noise out of it now, I suppose I knew that but still🙄.
Had a bit of a clear out in the oldies garage, found a head unit I'd forgotten I'd had.
Enjoying the wee car but something else has come on the radar, so I'll have to see what I'm going to do.
