Ok nightmare situation installing an aftermarket head unit, had a Kenwood DMX7017DABS installed by NPC on halfords behalf.

Getting a strong feedback constantly as if there is a bad ground, wont increase with speed so is radio related, is there even when volume is right the way down and on calls bluetooth streaming so i think its something to do with power to speakers.

Any one any ideas or experienced similar with the Facelift 93 ? car has the in built amplifier and im convinced its something to do with it

Cheer matt
Did you but the correct adaptor harness? It's about £100 and Halfords don't sell it. There is a guy local on the 9-3 owners club how does all the retrofits. It's not as simple as remove factory unit and replace with aftermarket. I was going to do mine but never bothered in the end as it's a pain in the hole to get right.

I have a connects2 harness which also has the in line filters that sorts volume and interference. See for sale section.

The harnessing cost over £120 but no guarantee as you say it was the correct item,

Fsh
Vector sport with usual spec heated leather, climate etc....

Just had 4 new Yokohama tyres
Mot to Oct I think
Hirsch factory remap (email to prove no cert)
Had gear selector repair and new front control arm recently

Rough points are crease on lip of drivers door and flacking on boot lid.

No idea what it's worth,

I have once again joined the ranks of Saab ownership

Anyone recommend any repair kits for the keys? Mine are so bad they barely function.

Also, are there any cheap fixes for the worn away buttons/interior plastics?

You can buy replacement key cases on eBay. Most come with new micro switches that can be soldered on if required, which is fiddly enough.

Cheers, have you used them yourself? They seem almost too cheap

As posted before but thought I'd try again this is going spare currently.

It's an 07 180bhp ttid with a hirsch remap it's a vector sport with usual spec, cars clean enough few marks as above and drives with zero issues. Only niggle is due a service but I'll likely have done this as if it doesn't sell I'll be keeping it till it croaks.

Bound to be worth 1750 ?

Just seeing this. I had a set of Vogtland springs in my facelift 9-3 Aero. Rode the very best, although it did make the rears look quite tucked in, so if I had of kept it, I would have added spacers. Ride and handling was grand. Think I got them from Amazon.de delivered in a couple of days.

Cheers for the reply, that's what I ended up buying off eBay £100 next day delivery too.

I got spacers delivered today also, 20 on the rear and 15 on the front.

Folks, does anyone else with a B207 hear a faint whirring noise on startup? Hasn't got any worse in 3.5k miles.

Seems to dissappear after a few minutes of running and only happens on cold starts.

Would they be similar to a 1.8t VAG engine with the secondary air injection pump on cold start ups?

No, that sounds like a jet taking off.

This is more like someone reversing in the distance.

Been googling it, consensus seems to timing chain problem or it's normal 😂
