little update.
fitted a nitron R2 shock to the bike yesterday. amazing bit of engineering!

also fitted an oem pipe as i sold the lovely carbon akra that i had previously.

was also searching for some lightened valves the other week and came across these.
£300 for a set pre drilled so i purchased and just waiting on delivery now...

Should really purchase an abba stand as it was a pain in the ass getting the rear off the ground while keeping the swingarm free!!

Now just ride the thing!!!

yea increased flow and lighter weight n all that. like in the pic.

I thought that was a belated April fools, like the old tartan paint etc... How the feck do valves with holes in them work/seal? Does that not defeat their purpose?

Any 'lightened' valves I've seen in the past were either titanium jobbies or else been turned down in the lathe, drilled holes in the faces seems mental.
