NI-BMW held a Coffee morning at The Country Garage for CLIC Sargent followed by a run around The Coast.

I can’t wait. I will possibly add the M sport exhaust but will try the standard one for a few weeks first.
My JCW makes a lot of noise on the standard system.

Nothing major to update. I had a few days booked off while we were getting work done to the house, so given the good weather, I decided to take the wheels off and give them a clean. Ideally i would have liked to clean up the disc's but i will do that the next weekend i'm free.

MOT is up in the next few weeks, so that's next on the agenda, followed by a service in the Country Garage to keep the full BMW service history up to date. Ready for the summer weather and a few more Cars n Coffee.

Can't pass the dealerships without stopping; dreaming / thinking of the next purchase. That's a year away though!

MOT was up last week, thankfully it passed with no issues.

I then decided to freshen up the discs. I had painted them black last year, but decided to redo them in a bright silver.

Nowhere near perfect, i felt they were letting the car down badly, so after a trip to the Country Garage, i returned with new disc's and pads all round.

Back up she went...

Next up is to refit the wheel bolt covers after checking the tightness again and a good clean before Cars & Coffee at DownRoyal on Sunday, and then a service which i will let the Country Garage carry out.

You painted the friction plate of your disc...….

One hit of the brakes lifts the excess off usually and then leaves the grooves and edges perfect. As long as you know that you need to take the surface off them it's no problem

I forgot to update this with a few photo's i had taken before the first Cars 'N' Coffee at DownRoyal. Very pleased with how much fresher looking the car is with new discs.

Cheers David. It's fair from spotless but it stays clean because it doesn't move much! Need to start driving it more in the better weather.

I think it makes a huge difference. No point in the rest of the car being clean and a set of rusty and worn looking discs letting the car down. Plus, they serve a good purpose!
