Nope not me, I have been thinking about repainting the original wheels to bronze or gold but I think in the meantime I’ll just eat pot noodles and drive it 😂
Ive seen it done, its a million miles far from " epic " leave it as is 👌 just because you can, doesnt mean you should .

The gold/bronze even silver OEM wheels look far better than the black though. Just my opinion, but I hate seeing spoked/design wheels in black. They just look like steelies/hub caps 🙈😂

But these RPF1s will just be the icing on the cake of an incredible wee car. Wish I bought one instead of building my RS6 😂

I like them done in bronze but as @svensktoppen said when the Enkei’s are on I won’t care 😂

It’s been a busy 3 and half months so here’s a big update.

Did a test fit with the wheels. Found I needed longer studs so a bit more work needed.

Easy enough to fit but then again being a new car all of the bolts came out nicely.

The fronts you remove the calliper and disc then hammer a bit of the backing plate behind where the calliper would be out of the way. Then hammer out the old studs. The originals are splines on the car are 14.1mm but all the aftermarket studs available are 14.3mm so a powerful impact gun is needed to pull the studs through. My Milwaukee 1/2inch was up to it but was getting hot by the last couple of ones.

The rear you need to remove the calliper, disc then the hub which is held in with 4 14mm bolts.

The car was entered indoors for Dubshed so I got the paint buffed and waxed by Mint Detailing in Greysteel.
The day before Dubshed my tyres finally arrived.

This is when I found the Enkei wheel nuts aren’t long enough for the new studs so at half 4 on a Friday I rushed to the spoiler centre outside Cookstown for open ended nuts.
Got back to the garage at 7 o’clock. Fitted the wheels and front camber bolts.

Got home at 10 o’clock and spent an hour getting tyre soap off the wheel and tyres.
Nothing like a bit of last minute show prep 😂

The car was on the NI JDM LEGENDS stand in the Logan Hall. It was my first time ever at Dubshed and it was fantastic weekend with good friends and amazing cars.
Before going I never seen the fascination with show cars but now I’ve seen the light and would like to do my own show car at some point and It wouldn’t be anything normal like a bagged golf 😜
It’s also a great feeling to have my car in 2 Speedhunter articles.

I hadn’t made my mind up on what centre caps to go for as I don’t like only option from Enkei for the RPF1.
I went for ones from Flatout Graphics, although I can’t recommend them as I got a bit of water ingress with a couple of them after a couple of weeks and I lost one on track. Flatout Graphics haven’t responded to my emails.
Matt at Torque GT sorted me with Rays open ended wheel nuts. I’m not a fan of fitting Rays nuts to Enkei wheels but the other options where on back order and these are pretty subtle so they’ll do.

The next mod was to get a bit more sound out of the car as the HKS was still very similar to the standard exhaust. The garage whifbitz GPF delete makes it perfect. A good bit louder now and still no drone on the motorway.

The trackday at kirkistown went well despite loosing a centre cap. I didn’t push the car much and it was still very quick so a lot more seat time is needed to get the most out of it.

it doesn’t take much to fill the back of the Yaris

10mpg is too bad, that’s a quarter of a tank each session 😂

I fitted an Airtec rear diff cooler
BE85525D-7197-40D9-AD76-B4E9488F0434.jpeg

I wasn’t a fan of the red which can be seen from behind the car. So I painted it black but it unfortunately it didn’t make it back from France unscathed. A good excuse to get updated version and I might get it painted the same red as the car.

Not being able to see out the windscreen fully always bugged me and particularly going round a left turn while going uphill I have to move to see around the rear view mirror.
I fitted the DNA seat rails which lower the seat 30mm.

so the view out the windscreen goes from this

To this

And because the rear view mirror is far bigger than it needs to be. It got replaced with one from a 2016 Vauxhall Mokka. Thanks to a member on the GR Yaris Forum who figured out this is the best option.

It fits onto the original mount with just cutting off a couple of extra brackets on the Mokka Mirror and the cover for the light sensor can no longer be used.

Looks fantastic. I have a mirror riser but I like the mokka mirror mod so might do the same. Mapped it yet?! 😃

Flyby needed 😳 sounds great through the video though 👌
I don’t have any videos of it driving 🙈
If anyone was at trackskills on the 15th of May and got a video of me could you send me it please

You can get them used on eBay, that one was £16.
I have no plans to map it but I would like a Syvecs ECU with antilag 😄
Love how big the brakes look behind those Enkei’s.
They’re right up against the spokes, not much clearance for them

One of my favourite RMS cars for sure!

Thanks!
It’s more the look of the other plugs on show that annoys me.
It’s just the auto dimming that’s lost. I could change the plug for it to work again but it wouldn’t be used much at this time of year.
