In the new year the GR got a couple of mods. First was the 21.5mm spacers from String Theory Garage, the extra 1.5mm from a standard 20mm spacer is needed to stop the studs from hitting the inside of the wheel.

Also got a HKS Legamax GPF back exhaust, only picture I have is of the 4 inch tips in black chrome. It’s only slightly louder but it leaves me room to fit a GPF delete pipe which will also take it from 257hp to 268hp like in other countries where they’re not fitted.

At the weekend I went for a drive about Derry to get some nice photos of it as it sits.

Now the most recent update, about a year ago well before I even got my car I seen photos of JCR’s GR Yaris with dished RPF1’s and since I’ve been set on getting the same set up.

They’re 18x9.5 et45 and weigh about the same as the 18x8 forged BBS wheels that come with the circuit pack.
Waiting on tyres (which I still need to buy) and 7mm spacers to clear the brake callipers arriving.

Love the fact that you are just enjoying it and stacking up the miles. Unlike probably a proportion that will get stuck away as investments.
I can’t afford 2 to hide 1 away for years lol
Thanks to the MyToyota app I can check my miles without leaving the house, almost at the big 10.

This is awesome Zach Its also cool to see that you are using it like it should be and not keeping it as a garage queen. I look forward to seeing it in the flesh at some point.

I passed a similarly modded one on a transporter toward Dublin earlier in the week. They're a beefy looking wee car

Nope not me, I have been thinking about repainting the original wheels to bronze or gold but I think in the meantime I’ll just eat pot noodles and drive it 😂

Looks absolutely tremendous as it sits.

Would 9.5 wheels not hamper the perfect drive?

There’s a lot of people running 9.5 wheels and I haven’t seen anything about it badly effecting how it drives. I would’ve preferred 9inch but they’re only available in et35 which I think would poke them too far out.
