Great machines. Tow like nothing else. Dear for parts, the old adage shouldn’t need many is thrown about but realistically any old 4x4 will need money spent. We run a 4.5 patrol on lpg with no issues.

I used to drive these down to London from Nottingham when I worked for Toyota the odd time.

Eye watering fuel consumption. But you can partially offset with the lpg.

Only thing I remember about them going wrong was ride height sensors for the air suspension.

And the electric rake reach adjustment on the steering wheel packing in

Very popular with the motorsport community for towing the big covered trailers used to transport rally cars. The southerners are mad for them in particular, either amazons or normal landcruisers. Look like a right mare to point down a narrow b road as they are HUGE but are comfy as frig. It's like driving your house around.

Danny McComb in Dundrum has 1 for sale at the minute. 4.5 V8 on LPG. My pockets aren’t deep enough at the minute or she would be home with me. It’s humble money at well under £4000.

@southsky sunrise my daily is a 2003 Range Rover. It’d be rich for me to point out flaws and reliability issues with other vehicles considering my has had or will have all of the possible faults known to man at some stage... 😂

We had the 4.2TD VX in our family for 15 years. Rust is an issue on them. It also liked to eat discs and drink diesel!

Forget about pointing it down a B road or any kind of overtaking.

I remember going to the launch in Belfast for the Amazon, it blew me away. Dream 4x4 but in the little amount of research i have done it could be don`t try and live your dream.
I would like a big 4x4 that goes anywhere and can tow if needed 2 big horses without any problems.
More research needed.

They are awesome bus. But definitely an acquired taste, perfect for towing - I actually think they drive better with a trailer on (?!?)..
Rust can be an issue, rear tail gates rot and are almost impossible to get. Mechanical parts readily available and loads of online specialists. The suspension can also be replaced with non air. 4.2diesel only avg 20mpg, doesn’t matter if sitting on motorway, round town or towing. Hold their money really well too.

Fantastic wagon, smooth and just built like a tank.

I'd love one of them and they hold there value well.

They are perfect for towing, buckets of torque. I sold ours to a guy who tows a catering trailer in and out of fields for concerts etc.

I think I got £6k for it around 5 years ago, we owned it from new and it had something around 115k on it if I remember right. Full Hursts Toyota history.

The only thing ours ever towed was my race kart trailer! It was also horrific for eating tyres too.

2003 onwards V8 Range Rover on LPG? Same 3500kg towing capacity and a lovely thing to drive without being as brutish...

I have always been scared of a RR as their reliability can be woeful but I will have a look thanks.
I have emailed Torque GT to see what Landcruisers are available for import.
