It definitely seems to get a harder coat the longer you leave it, so I'd leave it a while before putting any other product on top.

Bits I did underneath I mostly put raptor on top of it.

and got a spray kit so I could inject it into any cavities, although it took a little bit of adapting the nozzles to get a good all round spray.

What did you use to spray it? I tried it with a trigger spray and it wasn't great

That looks similar to the stuff I linked above from Landrover Blogger. I think he makes it himself; guess it's some sort of known chemistry that most of them are based around. Blue-turns-hard and black. Definitely working well on my old boxer/ducato motorhome.

I was going to use a garden pressure sprayer to try and waxoyl the cavities, would this work for this stuff do ya reckon?

Sounds like Lanoguard, seen it advertised a lot on FB, It seems to be more of an overcoating, as opposed to treatment ?

For the Aquasteel, it's mostly brush on. For inside cavities I used a Schutz type gun that came with a long hose and nozzle for that purpose. ( compressor fed ). Although I modified the tip so it would give a better all round 360 spray as otherwise it seems to be more streams of fluid than a spray.

For the Raptor I just used a roller and brush. Spraying would be very messy I imagine plus you commit to using the entire bottle each time.
With the brush I can just mix small amounts each time, although couldn't be arsed trying to clean brushes so just bought loads.

As the fluid is fairly thick, with the schutz gun I was using around 80-90psi pressure....so doubt a regular waxoyl gun might work well. Some did say it can be watered down to thin it out ( as it is water based ), but when I asked the supplier, they said it can be, but they don't really recommend it.
Can't recall where I bought the gun, but it was one with the blue metal bottle that screws onto the gun....ironically they were being sold off cheap as the bottles had a little rust inside lol. Suited me as I was filling them with rust treatment to spray.

Didn't want to start a new thread, but I've just thrown some hubs calipers and carriers into a bucket of molasses, horses treacle, runny black sheite, whatever name it's going by..

I'll fire up a before and after in approx 2 weeks time.

Have any of you other eejits tried it before? It's basically a case of mix it with water in a container, put stuff in it, wait. Chelating is the technical term for what happens the rust apparently..

Epoxy mastic 121 or por15, which would be better for my application.

Underbody of car, will be looking to paint over the top with colour that the chassis is.

I used 121 on bottom on the MK2 golf. Worked great. Then added upol gravtix then painted body colour.
Used por15 for subframe etc!

We use Aquasteel at work on our subsea systems. Its not perfect, but it does slow down corrosion. Chip off the old paint, get corrosion off best as you can, two coats of aquasteel, then two coats of paint on top.

Usually holds up for a couple of years in harsh marine environments.

There are other similar products, Bluesteel etc.

As ever, if you do a decent job on the prep, then the corrosion protection products do their job well enough.

Not used any Bilt Hamber corrosion products, but I've heard that they started off as corrosion prevention specialists for subsea assets such as trees, control manifolds and isolation valves etc.

Bilt Hamber auto foam is supposed to be good at rust prevention as well as a decent prewash product.
