Thought I'd fire up a few pics of my 2012 Street Triple 675. Its a low mileage bike with a few extras

That’s lovely. I thought they were side exit exhausts for some reason

Thanks! Yeah as said, 2013 onwards got the low slung single pipe. I think late 2011 and 2012 got the new headlights and then 2013+ got new fairings, single low slung pipe and abs. Probably some other details too.

Very, very tasty.

Cheers, I seen your Daytona up for sale is it making way for another bike?

Nice bike buddy health to ride.

Much appreciated (y)

Thanks (y)

I have to say I'm in love with it. Nice upright riding position and the triple makes a good soundtrack through them pipes.

A small update. As much as the last owner kept the bike really well, I wanted to do a few things to it myself. One of the headlights was cracked from a nasty stonechip during his ownership. So I bought a replacement and fitted. I also bought oil, filter and coolant.

Also got a ctek 0.8 trickle charger and a nice indoor cover as recommended by someone on here I can't remember right now. Perfect fit and sits just up off the floor.

So with those bits and pieces sorted, I passed my test on tuesday morning and have been out every evening since

Nothing too drastic but a few more wee things done! I soon learned that I needed some protection from the cold on this bike, and this isn't even cold weather. So I started out with a Alpinestars neck warmer and fitted R&G heated grips. These two things have made a drastic difference when it gets later in the evening. Very happy with the R&G grips, they go plenty warm and aren't dear. I had noticed @Gareth used them.

With the evenings getting a bit shorter I also upgraded the headlight bulbs from Osram Bilux to GE +130%. Recommended by @kenG

Not the best pics to compare but you can see that the beam is a fair bit wider on the GE's.

My next problem was I had nowhere to put stuff. The compartment under the seat isn't worth talking about. And a backpack is hassle. So I went for a genuine tail pack. Again, very reasonable price!

Then some more exploring.

That looks absolutely stunning, pity the weather is so unpredictable at the minute!

Heated grips are incredible too, I do use them most mornings and evenings! Something I miss a lot on the R1!

Thanks lads! Yes honestly I couldn't be doing without them now @warren . Even the first or second setting takes the edge off things.

Going to be needing some form of satnav for it aswell. Everything I do turns into a costly handling as I see more stuff I want lol.

Cheapest way to sat nav a bike it buy a cheap Halford TomTom or Garmin for a car and put it into a waterproof case that's mounted to the bars or somewhere. Done for well under £100.

Other option is to use your phone in a waterproof case.

Theres a couple new model garmins out so the older ones might be got at good money.

Having the cradle on bike + powered is just too handy, saying that I use intercoms too so I can stick addy in google maps and fire phone in pocket

Good idea gareth. I was thinking about something like that as bike sat navs are very expensive. I wonder is there any way to add earpiece for alerts ? Cheers

I've never seen/had the need for an audible alert as I don't like wearing anything but ear defenders whilst riding. Just the odd glance down has kept me right.

Cheers mate for reply. Just checking out garmin sat navs with bluetooth. Meant to be used in car. But i could use my blue tooth earphones for alerts. Thanks. Nice bike

Had this almost a year now and covered almost 7000 miles.

I took the wheels off and stripped them to be acid dipped and powdercoated gold. Built up with new bearings, valves and Michelin Pilot Road 5s. Also gave it a bit of a service, already posted that in the other thread but will stick it in here anyway.
