Haha no!!! That's just to get it up out of the way of the turbo for now. I plan to hide it down inside and a little air duct to direct flow in

I see 👁 lol! Thought it was maybe a case of function over form!

Great work, I’m sure your busting to get it on the road!

So nothing too exciting to report today other than fitting my new 2.4 escort quick rack/solid alloy mounts, seats and harnesses!

Had to take the rad off to get at the rack which meant that the coolant went everywhere!

Big difference with this fitted compared to the old rack!

I am awaiting delivery of a 6m length of of AN-6 fuel line, a rake of AN fittings, my new sytec fuel pressure regulator and various wiring/heat shrink so until that all arrives, I can't finish the fuel lines or start on the dash.

I am going to give a big push to get the car ready for at least a track session next month!

Unreal! So glad you got it running

Sounds nice too but can't wait to hear it under load!

Haha yeah mate, me too! It needs properly mapped etc but for how it sounds first turn of the key, I'm pretty happy! Lol.

Now I'm tempted to upgrade to the top of the range MaxxECU with knock control and all sorts so I can run drive by wire + full bluetooth dashboard etc but I fear I'm getting carried away with myself!

Maybe a wee bit carried away, yes, perhaps, lol 😇 You've already made significant upgrades before the car has even turned a single wheel 😁 The steering rack is ok though, definitely needed that

Get the fuel installation done so it is safe to use, then just get out and drive! Then you'll find out what upgrades you actually need (if any ;)) and can spend winter dealing with that instead of now.

Get out and drive

This is the kind of normality I need! Lol.

Get this thing finished FFS I'll get mine finished before you if you aren't careful :p :joy:

Couldn't agree more with the finish as is sentiment, plenty of time for upgrades etc. in the winter. I'm so close to just putting mine back together now and not doing any other planned upgrades.

Made another purchase tonight - Compomotive ML1390s in 8 inch width, ET -12 offset for the front. My current front wheels are 7 inch wide and have zero dish. Also, with being dark grey, I'd have to get them powder coated silver to match my rears anyway so getting these was easily justified :p. These will push the front out a little more but sure, it will look
