Oh don't get me wrong, I liked it and as a garage queen it would be great to own, but I do very little non-commute driving so would be pointless.

I think the main criteria for a permanent slot on the podcast panel is a rather plummy accent

Currently they’re not aren’t quite at Jason Barlow levels…probably more Gloria Hunniford level.

That section they were 'testing' the Supra looks a lot like Bad Oyenhausen near the Netherlands / German border (Easy to confuse the two, obvs..). Yer man testing it wasn't very sympatetic to the clutch or gearbox either and didn't get to wind it out much for all his abuse. For me, bahnstorming was getting up at 3 or 4 am to empty a tank of fuel at vmax in less than 200 miles. My regular return journey from Berlin to the Hook of Holland took 4.5 hours each way and needed a fuel stop in Bad Oyenhausen to get you there. The Alfa had an oil temp gauge which was very useful on the long high speed sections as you could see the oil temp rise up over 110 degrees so you could back off to around 125mph for around 10 miles to let it recover and then back up to vmax.

When there was mention of @Coog and a metro, I thought he'd bought another and went excitedly searching. There is coolness in old mundane stuff too tbh.

When you have the right car, it naturally draws you into more non-commute driving.

ie You have the wrong car

Great episode, incorporated it into my Sunday routine now. I don’t know whether it’s just my end but the sound at @Rocko’s meant it was very difficult to hear what he was saying a lot of the time.

After what can best be described as unbelievable generosity by @Sheeples in lending me his M4 Competition for the weekend, I'm willing to concede on a few things.

White leather works.
Our roads are in a terrible state.
I have the wrong car. I'd happily get up at 4am to drive an M4 Comp.
Ain't super unleaded expensive?

Now I have to figure out how to put an F82 in the drive. Ram raiding my local Danske Bank seems to be the only option.

I've never been a fan of the M cars, was always into Audi instead. Mind completely changed.

But I'm now ruined for other cars. It needs to be that spec, that exact spec.
