I would be looking for some kind of supermini like an Uno Turbo or a Daihatsu Charade Gtti. Pretty had to find good ones id say.

GTti, that would also be the ticket, very similar to the ep71 above :grinning:

Genuinely not being funny here but would the RS Turbo's not give some serious bothers these days? I remember a couple of neighbours having them back when i were a lad and even then i always remember the Fiesta constantly giving issues and another one had an Escort XR3i and it was just a bundle of crap and was in the garage half the time. Maybe they were just unlucky but as i say, that was half my lifetime ago nevermind now after all these years of the cars getting older.

I still really want a good mk3 Fezza RS1800  Or one thats had a newer 2.0 duratec (i think) engine swap  Complete rust buckets though :worried: You can pick up the mk3 Golf VR6's at very handy money, like 1-1.5k for a half decent one, i still gaze over them the odd time too :worried:

mate has a 2,2 Z4 around that money. not a classic but a good summer car.
That the sort of money those are going for these days? There's a nice black one for £7k at a dealers in Bangor that catches my eye when i drive past, assumed it had huge mileage on it or something

Might be newer, or bigger engine though PacMan. they can still go for anything up to £15k odd for an M.

Lyons Yeah i'm sure it must be, what i meant is that i thought £7k seemed a reasonable price... didn't realise they could be picked up for £4k. Seems not that long ago when they they first came out :scream:

That is hard to believe, a lot of 10 year old cars don't seem to have aged aesthetically so much, in my eyes at least. I'd still class the z4 as a modern-looking car. It made me laugh when reading a used car review in Evo, they called the interior of a 5 year old Megane 225 'dated'.

Think I'm settling on either M3 or Corrado to be honest, that yellow G60 caught my eye on G'tree before.

It is scary to think how much time has flown by and how old certain cars are when you still remember them from new.
