You can buy a unit that gives you USB and aux input, there is also a Bluetooth one on the go now. Mine has the HU-803(which most Volvo people say sounds better) and it just plugs in the CD changer port

I thought I'd give this wee cheapy a go 1st & maybe look at something more expensive if needs be 👍

This the one I have and it’s perfect but I want to freshen interior up and add bit more tech

Roof rails looked very faded recently.... think @Boydie mentioned black wow so ordered some and gave it ago as it’s meant to be very long lasting compare to other trim restorers

So had a tad of a heating problem... passenger side was constantly cold and driver side was warm and with winter approaching and kids/wife in the car for family trips I wanted it sorted asap

Opened both units up and worked out what’s what and went about transferring parts from one to another to eliminate what’s working and what’s not.

End up transferring the full circuit board and kept everything else the same and not only is both sides warm but the direction control from blowers has massively improved also. 😁

Massive massive thanks to @_Stu_ for donating his spare climate control unit 🙌🏻👍

Guys I’m having ideas of doing a back box delete and welding in a nice tail pipe.

since the d5 lump sounds ok for a diesel I was wondering would this make it abit more throaty but not wanting the dreaded pigeon sound lol

I’m only thinking of doing back box not the full system piped as I don’t want to come across I ride my own cousins

This is why I posted ha

I’m thinking of changing to a petrol performance estate soon and until one comes up I’ve been thinking of making this abit more grunty sounding... maybe I’m best just leaving the louder sounds for the next car 😂

Big Blue been motoring the very best..only thing had to do recently was replace rear boot handle due to it feeling stretched and not opening the boot as well...very quick and cheap fix as usual 🙂

Even thou very little miles been done it was treated to a full service and 2 fresh Dunlop winter tyres (Only tyres that keep traction) for the our yearly trip to Donegal.

Looks really well!

How come you went for winter tyres in the middle of summer?

Looks great! Is that a place of your own or what? Trying to convince the wife to head away for a day or two up that direction.

with the map, it’s always been very torquey and likes to spin the wheels under heavy enough acceleration..I found winter tyres are superb at stopping it from spinning 👍
With sunny summer tyres on the rear, no less 8o|

no not at all

They’re some car for the price.

defo one of my favourite cars and that’s coming from S4/535d/xfs etc just a great all rounder.

Im missing something noisy and petrol so will be buying an unneeded third vehicle to scratch the itch.

My reverse sensors have worked on and off since I got it and over the last few days not worked at all... no doubt will start working tomorrow as that’s what usually happens with them, all sensors ticking... and when it works it’s perfect. I read on here someone else was having this issue?

I drive a Mercedes sprinter every day so it’s not if I need them to work but that’s not the point I’d like the car perfect ha
