Need a cheap one to do a few assignments.. Even if it only has word on it

if you can get one at £140, brand new aswell, thats cheap, you lookin any cheaper an it'll be scrap, £140 for a brand new laptop is a steal IMO

£140 brand new to me is a steal rather than buy £190 2nd hand? dont get the point, you could stretch to £300 to get a new one from a shop with warranty, an if you like wen your finished sell it on with the warranty an get most of your money back

and if its only to do like 3 assignments then why spend £200 on 1 when he can get brand new for £140? thats what i mean, up to himself but he wanted a cheap laptop, £130 is cheap for what he wants an needs it for

!90 for a machine with a high spec is better than a poncy second hand machine at 140

My mates offerin to sell me his compaq laptop for 50 quid... all it needs is a new hard drive which i can get cheap of the guy that built my desktop...

you did say that after you were offered one at £130, well £130 is a cheap laptop, an £140 brand new is also cheap.

Check ebay. My trusty £40 Toshiba is still going strong a year on from purchase.

£140 is a good price for a new machine. Those wee small net-books are crap btw, had mine for 10 days before selling it and breaking the Toshiba out again lol
