hi looking some info from the vw men.
2012 octivia 1.6 diesel with blown engine, i can get an engine from a 2010 golf.
octivia engine code is CAYC, golf engine code is CAY both 105 hp.
what is the differences between the 2 engines. ?
i think it will fit ? anybody any knowledge on it?

CAY has a few variations, CAYA, CAYB, CAYC etc

If it's just the main engine components you are using then work away (swap injectors etc off your own and put them in the right order)

could i not use the CAY injectors and code them to the skoda ?.both are 105 hp. is the injector pump coded?.are the code variations just for different cars?.

If you use your own it's handier ....that's if they are ok, but yes you can recode them, coding is only for idle stabilization quantities

Will be a direct swap, yes code in injectors, pump isn't coded on them.
