So when Covid kicked off in March my car was valued by webuyanycar £16k less than the value they have given me today!

Just shows how unsure the car market was... I am genuinely going to take it to them in the next 7 days to get a cash sale.. anything I should look out for?

The wife’s disco sport has jumped £2.5k so I have hope yet!!

I have heard that they can be quite aggressive price wise looking for small niggles but then heard they are ok. As Pablo mentioned hursts I also found them to be slightly better.

tried the Agnew/Hurst one? It seemed to be decent values

Agnew quote is embarrassing to say the least - and that’s for a Porsche trade in for a car x2 the price .... I may as well be gang rapped by a massive group of well hung bisexual porn stars!

I have asked hursts for a quote and await their reply..

I am more concerned about what weebuyanycar will nick pick on. The car has no dents, serviced but well driven for the last 3 1/2 years

I've heard that the guy doing the appraisal earns more by getting you as far away from their quoted price as possible, so I'd imagine everything.

Thing is even £500 to them still gives me a fantastic price

They didn’t want the cars back then as they couldn’t get rid of them to auction easily with nothing happening, that’s the difference. Have you tried R-Kings? You’d never know what they could offer you. @pkhardman

Depends how much you care about selling, vs them buying.

If you don't care, stand firm.

If you must sell....you'll maybe give in for less. What happens if you stand firm and they dont bite ? Nothing really. I presume you just try again in a few days or weeks and then agree a smaller amount ?

Have you tried a few prestige used car dealers either for outright purchase or sale on commission basis. Shouldn’t be too hard to beat We Buy Any Car I would have thought.

I sold my evo with them years ago, the AYC was broken on it and because they didn't have an option for it on their computer system they didn't take any money off for it. They also didn't notice the rust under the wing lol, it probably depends on who you get on the day.

Think you have answered you own question in the statement, they are giving me a fantastic price even with £500 drop for faults! Good wash, quick detail and tyre shine and bring it down!

i think this spike they are offering is possibly only a temp thing due to shortage of good s/h cars!

is said too many dreamers here and that’s the finance thing took away from the equation too!

They could be interested in buying you car off you to put up for sale on their site as a raffle. Depends on the car etc and condition

I’d say he would have no issue seeing some of the stuff they have raffled

See what WBAC come back with after seeing your car. Hursts bought my old Scirocco off me and gave me a good price at the time. They paid me exactly what they offered in the initial quote.

WBAC offered me over £3k less than I was being offered as a trade in on mine, they came back 24 hours Later with a higher offer but it was still below the trade in price.
