Bought a tin of “king of gloss” - Very impressed with the results especially on a white car

Left my wife's xc60 in for a good bit of work today.
Timing belt, discs and pads on the front, full service and a replaced front spring after it snapped the end of the last coil last week

All parts gathered from @gcon45 , cheers!

This was a weekend job, from Friday to today. Went from over 5/6 weeks of dirt, absolutely stinking, tar covered and paint work rough to touch and dull to shining and baby smooth.

also removed the door models and badges from the tailgate and wings.

Wish I had the space for that!
It’s unreal, somewhere where I can dry a car even when it’s crap out and clean inside the car no matter what the weather.

Old shed I do my work in you can only open the doors enough to get out really

Got it serviced and small niggles sorted. Went to Philips instead of Agnews, far better service and everything sorted. A pillar trim never sat right from new and Agnews wanted several days to fix it as the dash needed to come out etc, Philips said it took 20 mins and they also re-fed my dashcam cable. Glad I’ll never be back near Agnews.

Much better atmosphere in the place, none of the flash or pomp of most other dealerships. Just straight talking, get the job done.

Which is what I've had from Agnews over the past number of years to be fair. Straight talking deal done on the Tiguan in 10 mins over a cuppa. Warranty and goodwill work all spot on too. Same for Phillips which have also been very good. Would happily use both tbh.

Funny about the trim being not right they really have the feeling of being thrown together using recycled ferrero rocher boxes. A recent foray into Volvo SUV use has confirmed my thoughts that VW doesn't have anywhere near the same level of comparative quality these days vs the rest.

Agreed, same here. It also helps that Phillips is a lot handier for me!

It shouldn't be the case, but 9/10 times the service received is reflective of our own attitudes. I've honestly never had any issue with any main dealers here - heard some horror stories though!

My other half bought her scirocco from Philip's and they were great to deal with. Think Jonathan was the salesman's name.

I bought my R new from Agnews on Boucher. I got a new salesman who was having to run everything past his sales manager but again I got the deal I wanted. They also gave the the loan of a tiguan for a month when my R was delayed. Cant really complain about them at all to be honest.
