Took the XJR for a spin, talked with @dh1079 for a bit - thanks for the cuppa and answering some questions.

Food for thought bud, thank you.

Your TT and Pugg are looking tasty! I'm sure they'll come up well!!

Heading up the carriageway to Ards, hit national speed limit at Dundonald, dropped the hammer at 45 mph and the wheels still lost traction for a bit lol.

Love this big boat of a car!

Washed the Saxo and the bike. Bike was stinking after being at the TT.

911 is on the ramps as it has an oil leak ffs. Just as I was about to advertise it for sale as well. Power washed the residual oil off to see if I can find out where its coming from. Its on top of the engine towards the front so I think its a gearbox out job at the very least, possibly whole engine 😭🤬

Changed the window regulator in the daily, it’s bad craic doing a fast food run and ending up like the leaning tower of Pisa out the door to get your Big Mac

Coat of red hammerite on the rear calipers.

Then modified the back of the roll bar cover. I didn’t notice it until recently but unfortunately it’s already started to mark the fabric. The problem arises when you lower the roof from inside the car and the front edge of the roof ends up resting on the black plastic cover on the rear of the hoops. If you are out of the car it’s possible to push down on the roof when storing it and move it a few mm future back. There are a couple of ways of sorting this including taking the roof apart and adding washers or sanding down the rear of the hoop cover a little bit. It’s designed badly having that sharp profile at the bottom so I went for option 2 👍🏼

Back under the nissan to re-tightened all the bolts on my decats which had worked themselves loose since last week. I'm reluctant to put loctite on them because it'll be a headache by time MOT comes around and I need to swap the cats back in.

Not try the exhaust locking nuts? They’ve a split in them which stops them unwinding. Think there’s also a version with a tab you bend.
