Aaron, have a look at Autosmart Smart Trim. It's an aerosol, so very easy to apply to those grilles.

Painting them is a good idea, and I've thought about it on mine, but keep using Smart Trim.

Trim is a great product.

Another good one for dried out plastic trim is Meguiar's ultimate black.

Got Ultimate black recently and it was the only product that worked on my mk5 Golf grille.

Yeah I heard good reports about it from customers but was sceptical because Meguiar’s consumer range is very hit and miss IMO. Very impressed.
