Will these pass MOT?

All spacing is correct and font correct size. Just wondering if they will fail it because it is the raised gel lettering?

No they should pass ok Iv put a couple through with gel plates on

They need to be marked with the BS number (and plate manufacturer's name) to be legal or pass MOT. Not every examiner checks though.

Is that new? Font and spacing for sure but BS markings?

I did this once, when the tester was putting the ramp back down the rear plate fell off and revealed the illegal one underneath

Luckily he thought it was funny and still passed it!

Though in order to help the OP, here is the official list of what is checked for MOT....... and the BS mark signifies compliance to the correct MOT standard.
