Confirmed retired from the lead which he'd extended to over 16 seconds after the first stage of today. Rotten luck.

Just watched yesterday's highlights, crap luck for Meeke but it is still a class rally with plenty of setup changes and issues to keep things interesting.

Just caught the highlights too, what a brilliant drive! Shame about the engine fail, at least that wasn't his fault.

Happy for Thierry, very good drive to catch and pass Ogier (y)

Seb not happy with his Ford :grinning:

Really hateful after how well he was driving.

Laughed at him being happy getting the meat and chip baguette lol

What an eventful rally in Argentina this weekend.

Arguably the roughest of the year & it certainly told. Almost everyone had their problems except Ött Tanak I think.

And for it to be decided on the PowerStage was fantastic, how it really should be. Disappointed for Elfyn but there was no stopping Thierry Neuville.

Less said about Citroen's event the better (probably why this thread has remained quiet this weekend!). Krash Meeke was in full car bending mode & Craig Breen had zero luck with gearbox problems & oil leaks.

Eventful to say the least!!

After they way the car behaved in the open rounds he maybe decided it was best to get a new one lol

After seeing both crashes I think everyone is very relieved they are both ok. Only so much one car can take.

Every crash the car has seems to be related to the cars behaviour on large rear suspension compression. Something is badly wrong, but it's a damn strong wee car... 2 lucky boys!!

Good rally that, probably the closest to "proper" old school rallying like we used to get in Africa and Asia

Harsh for Elfyn, so close!

Wish I'd put a pound or two on Thierry for the championship at the start of the year. Man on form.

Be interesting to see if Elfyn can repeat this performance. D-Mack are getting closer, Ött last year & now Elfyn. They should give Mikkelsen a run :grinning:

I quite like Thierry, wouldn't mind seeing him clinch it. After Meeke of course

Great to see such a mixed field of cars and drivers at the top this year, very refreshing.

First proper day of rally Portugal is done.
SS7 claimed 3 of the top 5 cars. JML lost his brakes, hit a bank & rolled. Hayden Paddon suffered an electrical problem which caused him to retire for the day & Kris Meeke 1st picked up a puncture then was forced to retire for the day with broken suspension.

Ott Tänak leads after it all. :grinning:

Good grief, that was a rally of attrition, lol :grinning:

Put one wheel wrong, hit a rock, wham, rally over.

Last man standing won  Seb doing what he does so very well, going very quickly but most importantly consistently and always staying on the right side of pushing too hard.

No re-start for Kris, damaged the cage.

Breen out for today with damaged gearbox casing too.
