Posting on behalf of a friend...

Airbag light on and won’t clear.

The code is 98F6, resistance on firing circuit battery terminal rear right.

Anyone any experience with this code and how to go about sorting it?

Cheers
Joe

had a similar fault a few years ago on a Z. Check the positive battery terminal, if not it could be the module itself.

Battery voltage plays havoc with the airbags in my Z, as said check the battery terminal and check the battery condition. If you leave the car standing any length of time a voltage drop could be enough to start messing with the bag sensors

Where is the module located in these?

They prone to letting water at them by any chance?

also, what are you reading that code with? snap on?

try and get INPA on it.

edit. just checked, it was the same fault I had, only I read the code with INPA and it mentions satellite module. Its the airbag module. Buy a used one with matching part numbere. Will still need coded though. module is fiddly to get at but it does fix the issue.
