Ken Block is back to smoke up our screens, this time in a 1978 Mk2 Escort RS. The Ford is fitted with a 2.5 Millington normally aspirated motor producing 333bhp at the wheels, mated to a 6 speed sequential gearbox and as you can hear from the video (below) it sounds awesome.
The Escort is well loved in Irish rallying and the anorak in us can’t help notice that hidden behind the Rocket Bunny wide body in matt black are the four stud rims. Unconventional all round, Block is bound to make an impression with his latest gymkhana video.
This isn’t the first outing for Ken Block in a Mk2, previously buying a Group 4 car in 2008, again running a Millington to compete in tarmac championships, although with the US rally scene largely non-existent it saw little action. And what was the monster he was out drifting about LA in his last video? The Hoonicorn RTR.
For now we have a preview with some burnouts- enjoy.
You can read more about the Escort on the hoonigan’s blog.

I wouldn't say the arches are much wider than the extended Grp4 ones that the likes of McPhillips have on their escorts and all the modified and even the historic escorts here have 4 stud hubs. I'd say its nothing more trick than a standard class 13/14 floating axle? ....... and he wouldn't even be able to see what way the milkman went in his Starlet :p 4 stud historic: http://reallymeansounds.com/wp/wp-content/gallery/donegal-rally-2015/IMG_8751.jpg Modified Grp4 Arches http://reallymeansounds.com/wp/wp-content/gallery/donegal-rally-2015/IMG_9595.jpg
