Thousands of supercar fans descended on County Down’s Bishopscourt Racing Circuit for NI Supercar Sunday 2022, where some of the most exclusive road going metal was being put through their paces on track.
This was day two of the charity supercar event, kicking off the previous day at the North West 200 pits with a static show followed by a convoy, winding down the Northern Irish coast roads followed by a black tie dinner at the Slieve Donard.
Like previous years, the event was extremely well supported by both the supercar owners taking part and spectators, with all proceeds of the event going to charity, both the NI Air Ambulance and the Eoin Henry Foundation.
The paddock was full of exotic metal, including two Ferrari SF90 Stradales, the new Ferrari 296GTB, a Lamborghini Aventador, McLaren 765LT, you get the picture. There were significant queues to get on track; owners keen to make the most of the opportunity to exploit performance and wow crowds.

Although Ronan claims that the 2022 event will be his last, we hope that such a superb turnout and great response from the day will make for further consideration. These cars deserve to be celebrated in motion, and nothing else in NI has come close to that before. Add in that two fantastic causes (we’re awaiting the final donation totals), we live in hope for a return next year.
