Converting NI Offence Codes to UK Standard

I recently picked up points for speeding, however, I didn't realise that the offence codes in NI are different from the rest of the UK (typical for here...). The code on my licence is 50 08 013, to me that would convert to SP30 on the mainland?

Does anyone have any experience with this issue, are mainland insurers happy to apply SP30 and not use it as a technicality down the line to avoid paying out?

I normally make sure to tell the insurers the local code then tell them it’s the equivalent of ‘SP30’ for instance.

They seem happy enough and if it’s recorded on your file you should be fine - if they actually record it.
