Another small job ticked off today, the car had a Racing line R600 intake on it when we bought it the red intake hose had always felt out of place since changing a lot of accents to the copper colour.
It had been rubbing on the engine cover also. Damage only looks to be cosmetic but its enough for me to warrant changing.
Replaced with a black hose this time looks more standard and fitted correctly doesn't rub.
If anyone wants a red slightly used R600 intake hose let me know
First issue popped up with the car over the weekend.
"Error instrument cluster contact workshop".
Everything still works bar the ticking sound when you use your indicators and a small error message on the centre MFD. MOT soon and doubt it'll pass with it showing.
From reading up the only fix is a new instrument cluster and software update FFS so looking like a dealer only fix.
Anyone recommend a good Seat/VW main dealer over here?
Don't know if it would or not bud OBD11 has always done what I needed it to.
Don't have access to VCDS either, going to disconnect the battery and let it sit over night doubt it'll do anything but it's the last thing I can try lol.
Well lads, update on the cluster fault. Spoken with Seat who said basically it would need a new cluster and coded at the guts of £1100.
So I thought **** that I'll have ago at sorting it myself and I've only gone and done it fully fixed and code gone for a £25 eBay purchase.
Basically with the ticker not working on the indicators and other sounds not coming from the cluster I went and bought a used cluster from eBay off a 1.6 tdi Leon. stripped it down and removed the speaker. Pics below.
Done the same with my cluster and fitted the used one to it, plugged back in and error is gone. Everything working as normal!! So happy lol
