i am thinking about trying to find a rolling shell of a Mk2 Golf and putting a VR6 from a Mk3 into it, although, realistically I will never be able to afford the insurance on a VR6 as im only 19, however can it be insured as Classic or Kit as it is not the original engine intended for this mark of Golf. anyone know?

cheers

I think you're too young to be insuring a car as a classic. You usually need to be at least 25 - sometimes 30 - and have a full NCB as well.
