Fine for blown turbo?

it just said excessive smoke from exhausts, but there was piss all smoke comin out. i could see them behind me and there's no way it woulda put any1 else off, they were just bein twats.

if there was loadsa smoke i would put my hands up and took the fine, but its just the fact that he was callin me a liar to my face wen i was tellin the truth

I was at the Circuit of Ireland last year in an old 405 dt (which had been screwed ever so slightly for the occassion!!!), and on my way home through lurgan the cops stopped me because the back of the car was pure black and the smoke was pumping out of it!

I told him that I was coming back from the rally and that my turbo had blown over the weekend. He was happy enough with that and let me away with it, just said to make sure and get it fixed!

But I just hate the ones that won't listen to what you have to say, they are right no matter what! Although I'd say the chances of you getting the fine scrapped are slim since the car obviously was smokey in the first place, otherwise you wouldn't have been stopped, and it is a legimate reason for a fine, as I have 2 producers from different occassions to prove!

Man thats rough, the peelers seam to be going loop loop lately, iv got followed and pulled over by them 2wice since the weekend, the other night they tale gated me from outside the cinema to just round the corner from my house, and then pulled me over and asked if i owned the car, where i was going where i was coming from and why was going there. :? well cheaky whilst asking too. funny thing is i havnt even done anything to my car yet lol

Seek legal advice. Sounds like he has given you a fine for nothing. Is he in any way qualified, that he can or cant tell what is wrong with your car ?

Seen you in antrim petrol station the maxol about 3 week ago then. Laughed at the plate...then as you pulled out there was quite a lot of smoke.
