Posting on behalf of a friend.....

Took the 3 door up to Steven Gaults in Ballymoney yesterday for a bit of fine tuning to the ecu after its initial map back in August. 1st issue was the air injector map as it was allowing the wastegate to open @ 19 psi (not good) but also allowing the boost gauge to fly past the 30 psi mark (even worse). got that sorted out and after a couple of test runs up the road i was happy.

Then we moved onto the anti - lag (the fun bit). Wired the isc valve into the ecu & activated the map & pressed the button well impressed. Driving home made me realise why i have stuck with this car for so long. the adjustments had made the car much more responsive low down and much easier to drive (even for me)

Switched on the anti - lag for the last twisty bit and i have power when i want it leaving corners (not to mention the noise )Big thanks to Steven for his time and expertise. Theres a lot more to come!(y)

Regards
Niall

Well the cossie has gone from hard to start and unsafe to a reliable safe very nice driving car in Stevens hands. The difference his mapping/setup has made is unreal!

Its a good bit over 300bhp:grinning: I won't post exact figures as the car isn't mine and we know that with another few tweeks, it will produce more power/torque than it is doing now.

thanks for the feedback, most of our guys are rallymen and arent on net much .Its a pleasure to work on a car as nice as this one. Makes a nice change from the multitude of sequential box Mk2 escorts that seem to be breeding around here recently.

And graham- once again your photos are top drawer. Im not surprised you won that competition recently.
