Spacers on first, they really help fill the arches, might not need lowered then.

Was thinking that, but the spacers it needs are 21.5mm and £300! Wasn't sure if that's a bit much width for spacers, especially if on track with it. Not sure, haven't really fitted spacers before?

Also at 300 quid, I'd nearly rather put the money toward wheels with a better offset.

Will look into it as it'll be the next thing I do to the car I think.

Always see lots of people putting spacers on cars and most will probably be fine. The rear of the 155 really needs them because there is a big gap to the arch and a 20mm spacer fills it nicely. Then the rear wheel bearings only last around 10k miles and the rear Trailing arm bearings are the same. I got a set of team dynamics made with an offset that worked to cover the front brembos I had fitted to one of them and that was around 20mm out, never had an issue with bearings on that car. All the ones with spacers were still a nightmare.

Just back from another blast down the Wild Atlantic Way, this time starting in Co Sligo and finished in Co Kerry.
Had planned to do an extra day and do Cork as well, but the drink was flowing in Tralee and as such both had hangovers yesterday morning so came up the road again instead. Getting too old for it 😂

800miles done in 3 days, GR didn't miss a beat, even returned 38mpg on one leg!

Splitter also came back still intact, though definitely scraped the underside once and was on a few roads that made the arse twitch 😂 Wouldn't want to be taking a supercar on some of them. Wouldn't even want to take her M4 up some of them, so I think lowering the GR isn't on my list of things to do anymore. Bought it for roads like these and want to continue enjoying them without worrying about being too low.

Stayed in Clifden on night 1, Tralee night 2 and both places the food and drink were great! Finished the last day by doing Molls Gap and Ballaghbeama Pass which were outstanding roads, never even seen a car on some stretches!

Well done, very best of Ireland in one hit there.

And don't mess with the ride height. It's a rally car, keep it as such and use it as such 😎

Did Molls Gap a few years ago, tight twisty Road as you say. Stopped at the cafe, watching a vintage car rally go by, then large group of bikers cranking the engines open. Was great. Gap of Dunloe was properly tight though!

Saying that, can't wait to go back and do the Ring of Kerry again some day.

The Yaris looks like it's in its element there bud!

Got lost and ended up through the Ballaghbeama Pass during the summer, pretty cool stretch of road for sure.

Molls Gap is rammed in the summer but even then Ballaghbeama was empty.

Few wee updates to add here. Had it serviced at Toyota last week there that's 6.5k miles I've done in it now, not bad considering I don't commute in it so that's 6.5k fun miles!
Reasonable cost as well at £315 a service.

Had a few bits gathered up ready

With the trackday coming up it was a good time to chuck the backing plates on to the pads. They're made from Pyroclast, meant to be better than carbon fibre and seemed to do the job alright. Hopefully stop the piston seals melting.

Stuck some Goodridge stainless steel hoses on as well and changed the fluid for RBF660.

Changed the gearbox, diffs and transfer box oils as well, nice easy job and first time it had been done. With trackdays and stuff best to change them a bit more frequently anyways.

Changed the undertray for a Gazoo Racing one with in built in cooling to help keep temps down on track. Another official Toyota part but has to be bought from Japan as can't get from Toyota UK.

Had the steering wheel retrimmed in alcantara similar to GRMN Yaris and also fitted a GRMN gearknob

Performed flawlessly on track again, great fun was had. Ran out of talent in the paddock and smashed my splitter ffs, pretty raging about that given the cost of it but slapped some fibreglass on it today there so should fix OK.

Got the wheels fitted today, great job done by Autoworx in Lurgan and came out better than I thought they would!
Splitter also now repaired using vinyl/paint /isopon/fibreglass combo. Not pretty up close but in one piece again lol
