Done.
I call BULL$4IT :grinning:

Either the 2nd tester didn't see the ABS light not working or its 2 different cars, its that simple

Also, why would you take a pic, scribble out the details and take another pic?
he didn't see the airbag light either, or mind about V5 and my rear pads couldn't have been that bad when he didn't spot them, then you have the first tester he was very thorough he didn't spot the battery not secured properly, hence it's a lottery that's my point.

And the details were scribbled out so no one would get into trouble but I'm trusting Pablo here to check and verify without passing on.

On a separate note I'm surprised to read that Ards is the strictest MOT centre about. The sierra we took on our first banger rally went through a full mot with no indicators, reverse light stuck on, drivers door wouldn't open from the inside and the exhaust lasted 30 miles of driving before dropping because it was cracked the whole way round.

I don't believe there being a difference in strictness in different centres - different testers perhaps. I never had a failure in about 4 years in Craigavon but already had 3 this year!

For the life of me, I don't understand why after failing mot one day, that you would book another full mot instead of a retest, just out of curiosity where did you book both tests ? Online or phone or at the centre ?

Well, I can't understand that an examiner missed both abs and airbag lights not doing as they should, I'd like to see original failure sheets also........

Because after the first I realised that the lights weren't coming on and going off, I know from experience most testers never bother much despite what jclc may say I've put plenty through with lights missing, I knew the tester that tested me was a Cnut and more than likely 9 out 10 other testers would have passed it, both booked online the day of test.

If I had to book a retest I could probably easily run into more money than the car is worth to me.

I've done that before too. My Citroen C4 failed on corroded rear brake discs - a bit pitted. After the MOT I priced new discs and because they come with the wheel bearing fitted they cost £130. I took the old discs off, gave them a quick going over with a wire wheel on a grinder and put them back on. I then booked another full test at another centre and it passed.

Oh and I have found the make and model of the car to be quite inaccurate on occasions. I have MOT'd a Benford Rascal before.

Sorry but I don't know you so I'm not gonna float them about and risk someone getting into trouble you can see both sheets in first pic, Pablo has already confirmed they are the same car.

Thought that was an odd request myself lol

Not an odd request at all, I'm an mot examiner and it just seems impossible for an examiner to miss those items

From what Ive heard, its my dads cousing who is a tester in Ards that causes the problems.
He is beyond strict - even failed cars that he has prepped himself.
And when he has transferred to other areas temporarily (for cover etc) it tends to be reflected in the pass rate, etc.

To be honest, I think he's a bit of a tool, bit I suppose to look at it from their point of view, they dont want to have it on their mind that they have passed something that MIGHT be unsafe etc...

Lol I guess you don't want to be selling motors on here then after confirming that George haha.
I grew up travelling about in fiestas, escorts, kaddet's etc that never had air bags or fancy abs, never done me any harm lol it's not like its 2 cars welded together :p

So you say you got up on the 19th and booked a full test for that day ? The chance of you getting a slot that quick same day on a Saturday is very very slim..........

Listen bawheid it was booked online that day I've seen me online looking for a slot and been offered times as near as 5 and 10 minutes away so you don't know that much....

Have you no cars to be failing.

I don't need to put money anywhere, its you're reputation I'm calling bull**it on here, not mine, the outcome of this will not effect my daily life nor will I loose any sleep over it, I'm not the one selling s4ite :grinning:

And on a side note the amount of time wasting that goes on at ards is unbelievable I've seen me sittin waiting near 10 minutes while 2 testers were having a chinwag looking at a phone in the middle of testing my car while it's up on the ramp.
