Question aimed mainly at those who have had experience insuring jap imports.
Basically, i've seen a prelude that i like, but it's an import.
Phoned my insurance co. (adrian flux) today and they quoted me more than double what it would be for a uk car.
Tried a few more and it was the same story, they told me that i'd be better going for a uk model.
Was wondering if anyone could point me in the direction of a company that might give a 24 year old a decent quote on this car. Or would i be better to wait for a uk car to come up?

Thanks, Andrew

Hmmm well I'm with elephant at the minute on my import, and its not that much more than a UK car. Couple hundred quid more. I'm going for another import, probably in a few months, and again it's only another couple hundred more than a uk car.

I use elephant.co.uk

or sister site of it, www.bell.co.uk

Both give me good quotes, and I'm only 21. Hello supratt
