which Gti meet - they are both "Gti" clubs!!

No you dont need a GTi. the rolling rod day on sat will have everything from German class to Jap scrap (the latter being the boss on the rollers of course) Gary is a good guy - mint/mad Leon, but dont bend over as he may take advantage :p this is the group that hold a meet on the last sunday of every month at Corrs...i dont own a GTi and i go!

The other on Sunday is a new thing so hard to say what the turnout will be.

Surely its common sense dont drive the car hard when its cold! lol

I know the vw deisel engines fairly drink the oil at the start, pehaps your petrol is the same.Is there only 6k on the clock total?

Your problem is prob a combination of needing a good check over & service, and putting the big wheels on.

1.2 isnt too small if youve not passed your test that long.

im happy enough, could obviously want more now that the R's are down but still

Even with a 54bhp escort I managed to do some serious damage. Best to stick with the small engines until you actually know how to drive IMO. The learning begins after you pass your test, driving lessons only get you started.
