Yea I had a look at your thread, the yellow looks well

I'll have to get a wee look round it when its finished

Got a fair wee bit done today


Clutch in, Box and Engine bolted together


Droped it into the bay and started connecting things up

Off work for 2 weeks over crimbo so should get this part finished

And then make a start on the bodywork

Your pug is looking well .......


It didnt cost that much,

Its the time it takes to clean and prep all the bits thats the hardest bit.


All the silver bits are done with a few light coats of " Rattle Can " satin silver lol

The more you put on then the more chance there is of it flaking off


The engine and box are done with hammerite, I have used it before and it takes the heat no probs,

You just need to prep it all and etch the alloy bits first and have the bits warm when spraying them

I have been waiting on a few bits from the local motorfactors so have not been doing much to the engine,

With the time I had on Sunday and Monday I thought I would redo the wheels


The wheels were not that bad just needed tidy'd up, the face of the wheel was painted and the back just needed re-lacquered.

It would depend on the rest of the under bonnet colours,

If the box was the same colour as the head they would tie together

or use 1 of the other colours and tie in with it.

the sump is black, block yellow, head black and rockers were yllow, but stuck them on my blue car. but i got later jp4 type plastic rockers

so im thinking pink $ i know, but its an awesome shade of it and my mates missus fiesta rs1800 got stuff done same colour and it looks well) and then a carbon fibre coil cover!

so thinking maybe black or yellow with the gearbox. but think it might be too much

I would do the Box black,

It would tone in with the head / sump and make the Block stand out more,

Doing it yellow may be too much, and if the bay needs more yellow you could do other smaller bits instead

.

im wanting multiple colourage though! because there is the anodised pulleys and then there will be the braided hosing with anodised unions etc

but at same time dont want to go overboard

Anodised pulleys, anodised unions etc, ....... There is your answer,

Use the colour of the anodised bits or as close a colour as you can get to them,

If your stuck for matching the colour I could mix something up for you,


It would be in 2K and need lacqured tho
