Protecting Coilovers

Hey folks, whats the best way to protect coilovers keeping rust and seizing to a minimum?
Any substance to coat the threads in? Or are them coilover covers/socks any good?

They’re better without anything being applied to the threads as it just collects dirt otherwise. Just try to wash them regularly when doing in around the arches.

As above, ive found that no matter what you put on it actually causes the crap to stick to them. Would be interested to see if anyone has used something successfully

I used to spray ACF50 over the coilovers then wrap Denso tape around the threads, worked really well and the threads were like new when it was removed.

we use denso to protect pipework from corrosion works well but not pretty

my last ones just used copper grease

We used to repair everything including sewers with it when digging the roads

Great stuff, ive always a roll in the garage

Yea its messy stuff for sure, but it protects the threads, you just have to give them a good clean when you remove it, but they are still like new underneath.
