Good luck with the sale.

If you don't get any takers soon then maybe give some thought to having a specialist sell it on your behalf. They can offer finance (and warranty) and perhaps open up a new market of buyer for you.

lol yeah sorry I could've worded that better, I meant more if you wanted it sold sooner then it could be an option. That car will definitely be sought after and will sell

Thanks. Ive decided to keep it for a while yet. I withdrew it from sale about a month ago. I had a few offers of around 21k-22k but decided i didnt really want to sell it right now

The big money seems to be in the low mileage stock examples. Was it maybe that mods being present that impacted on the offers? That being said 22k is a very good offer IMO.

It certainly wasnt a bad offer. I think they are much better cars with stage 1 mods. Think they are a bit bland standard. Engine is all original and not being forged etc

I agree Evo's move alot better with some bolt on mods, however I think thats what impacts the sale when you are looking 22k+

Most people spending that money want an investment, even though I think Evo pricing is bonkers at present, so an investment would be the model in stock form.

Just a thought, but if youve decided to keep it then bugger it.

I certainly think there is some truth in what you say but i much prefer them with a few add ons and stage 1 mods etc. I sold my previous 9 mr to a car collectorr from london which had similar spec etc. I never buy these car as investments i buy them because i like the particular model and i know they will never really lose value so will alwsays be worth a fair few pound. Yes a 10k mr-fq-360 hks completely stock will go for more than my example but that is to be expected i suppose lol

Its even the case with the Pearl White FQ 360 MR on MLR at present, high price tag but he'll probably get it as its stock and only 1 of 5 in the UK. Thats highly collectable regardless of its mileage being at 60k+

Yup only 1 of 5. Its been for sale for a whlie now and even at 60k for an 11 year old car it is low but if it had 40k or less im pretty sure it would of sold much sooner. Id have bought it of it had sub 50k but mileage is a killer on thse cars. It is a lovely example though

From an ownership/usability perspective id disagree with you on the mileage being a killer. Serviced and maintained well, id much rather have an Evo with higher miles than one with alot less that hadn't seen much over and above acceptable. Reliable engines with low level mods and serviced regularly.

From an investment point of view yes mileage being on the high side will make it less desirable however that car is just so rare a collector will snap it up eventually. He'll just have to wait as there isnt many people out there willing to drop that money on an Evo.

For me both has to be right . Im very fussy. Mileage and condition have to be spot on for me. Im not saying higher mileage cars are unreliable far from it mate but as we both said lower miles is more desirable. I bought mine because its what i was after. Paintwork is pretty flawlesd on mine aswell

The reason why the car hasn't sold after 6 months of advertising is because of the mileage. A collector will not buy that car, simple as that.
