Mate has a 2015 Octavia 1.6 diesel, says its starting to get difficult to select gears, especially reverse. Clutch seems good 75k miles, drives great otherwise.
Any ideas why?

Thanks

Check the cables on top of the box. The ends can seize up and hinder the selector moving. There's guides for resetting the position of the lever too. Also check the foam around the selector under the gaiter in the car, it can break up and go where it's not welcome and cause the same sort of issue.
Failing that, the slave cylinder is probably on the way out.

I've passed this on, cheers
Only with engine running? Might benefit from a gear oil change

Yes, no issues with engine off. Seems slightly better when warms up, no harm checking the oil maybe even see if theres any oil in it lol

Thanks
