Smoked rear lights

Thinking of smoking the rear lights on the CRX. will they pass MOT and and will the peelers say anything? Not tinting them so much as they are black, just a dark smoke colour. The reflectors on the lights can't be covered as far as i know cos they still have to reflect, is this right?

i think it depends on person. The girlfriends brother tinted the rear lights in his almera, it passed mot no problem one year, then the next the guy musta got outta bed on the wrong side.

you must have a reflector

Smoked rear lights - failed last year
Same smoked rear lights - passed this year
